The block is designed to read the force transmitted from the blocks connected to the "R" port to the body connected to the "C" port. If several blocks are connected to the "R" port, the sensor detects the total force coming from all connected blocks. Changing the direction of the force reference (its sign) and changing the sides of the ports are available in the block properties.
