Unidirectional coupling

in the palette on the schematic
The block is designed to simulate a coupling that transmits torque in only one direction. The direction of torque transmission is set in the block properties. The transmitted torque T in Nm is calculated by the formula:

where:
  • K – stiffness factor of the coupling, Nm/rad
  • D – damping factor of the coupling, Nm·s/rad
  • ω – relative angular speed of the half-couplings, rad/s
  • φ – relative turn angle of the half-couplings after the start of rotation in the direction of torque transmission, rad

The coupling transmits torque from port "B" to port "F" if the angular speed at port "B" is greater than or equal to the angular speed at port "F".

The coupling transmits torque from port "F" to port "B" if the angular speed at port "F" is greater than or equal to the angular speed at port "B".
