Rotary electromechanical converter

| C |
in the palette on the schematic
The block is designed to simulate a simplified electric drive or generator described by the equations:

where:
  • T – torque, Nm
  • K – converter gain, V·s/rad
  • I – current, A
  • U – voltage at the converter, V
  • ω – relative angular speed, rad/s
The relative angular speed is calculated by the formula:

where ωC and ωR – angular speeds at ports "C" and "R", respectively, rad/s

The torques at the block ports are defined as:

TC and TR – torques transmitted to ports "C" and "R", respectively, Nm.

The positive direction of current and voltage is taken as the direction from port "+" to port "-". In the electric drive mode, the voltage and current have the same signs, in the generator mode – the opposite.
