The block is designed to simulate an ideal converter of rotary motion into translatory motion and vice versa. The unit allows you to simulate the rack-and-pinion gear, winch, gate and other similar mechanisms. The block is described by the following equations:




where:
- sC – position of the body at the port "C", m
- φR – turn angle of the shaft at the port "R", rad
- FC – force at the port "C", N
- TR – torque at the port "R", Nm
- R – arm length (radius), m
- dir – the value indicating the matching of the directions of rotation of the shaft and the movement of the rope, has a value of 1 or -1.
Next to the block, the value of the arm length (radius) R in meters is displayed.
