The block is designed to simulate the rotation of a mechanical element that generates a torque proportional to the relative angular acceleration. The torque T in Nm, is calculated by the formula:


where:
- ε – relative angular acceleration, rad/s2
- J – moment of inertia of the body, kg·m2
The relative angular acceleration is calculated by the formula:


where εC, εR are angular accelerations at ports "C" and "R", respectively.
The value of the moment of inertia J in kg·m2 is displayed next to the block.
