Rotary damper

| C |
in the palette on the schematic

The block is designed to simulate a linear rotary damper with a constant damping factor.

The damper relative speed ω in rad/s is determined by the formula:

where ωC and ωR – angular speeds at ports "C" and "R", respectively, rad/s

The damper torque is determined by the formula:

where:
  • TC and TC – torques applied to ports "C" and "R", respectively, Nm
  • D – damping factor, N·s/rad.

The value of the damping factor in N·s/rad is displayed next to the block.
