The block implements conversion of input signals by means of a single nonlinear static characteristic of the "relay ambiguous with deadband" type under different initial conditions according to the following algorithm:

where x(t) is the vector of input signals; y(t) is the vector of output signals; Δt is the previous time step of integration; a1, a, b, b1, y1, y1 are the parameters of the static characteristic. In the presence of "overlap" of the return zones, the switching process is determined taking into account the previous state of the relay.

  • Lower switching limit – a₁ – the minimum value of the input signal, at which the value at the output is equal to the lower value;
  • Deadband lower limit – a.
  • Deadband upper limit – b.
  • Upper switching limit – b₁ – the maximum value of the input value at which the value at the output is equal to the upper value;
  • Lower value of the function – y₁ – the minimum value at the block output;
  • Upper value of the function – y₂ – the maximum value at the block output;
  • Initial conditions (0;1) – initial condition of the relay; 0 – OFF, 1 – ON
